Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs) are a new type of anticoagulant. They are used to treat DVT and Pulmonary Embolisms in adults, as well as preventing blood clots. They are shown to be a safe and effective medication for children for some indications.
With any anticoagulant, certain other medications and activities can be dangerous. We are going to talk about how to stay safe while taking an anticoagulant.
